Books have been closed for a couple months, but this time of year is one of my favorites. Options for every budget level.

What did you do this Mother's Day?

Before going to visit my Mom I spent some time at the , which always has a lovely collection of vendors, along with some entertainment and tasty food/drink options.

That market is happening the second Sunday of each month, so mark your calendars!

Underground music in Portland is always inspiring. Went to a little situation last weekend on the waterfront and brought a new addition to my repertoire, a ring light! I didn't get the chance to get too many portraits but I did get a couple. Thanks to everyone that posed for me. Perhaps I'll see some folks later at ?

While staying at last week I went to place I'd never been: Olympic National Park ( )

I only had a day so I stuck to the southernmost area, the Quinault Rainforest. I listened to Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass"on my way up and back, letting his ramblings and the surrounding nature inspire me.

We are truly spoiled here. Please enjoy these pictures. I'll definitely be printing some to sell at some markets throughout the year. If you want a specific one let me know.
