Anyone can start a Burrito Project and the organization encourages everyone to help feed the hungry in their local communities
Burrito Project is a group of friends that feeds the hungry and homeless in cities around the world, encouraging people “to get together with friends and build burritos to take to the streets”.
Hey BPers. Just a quick update: we had to skip December BP because we found out on short notice that Sante Fe was closed for renovations and would not be able to provide food - I couldn't front the bill that month. The good news is they're back up and running! Even cooler news is that Maya from Santa Fe is on maternity leave! Super congrats to her! However, this means they can't provide food for January or February either. Originally I was going to schedule a BP for the 28th of this month, but alas, that's a no go. But, I don't want to skip February. I'd like to see if I can't get $100 of donations to cover the cost of food and we will just spend a day in February cooking from scratch (like the good ol' days!) and delivering burritos. Whose in? Your support is much appreciated!

100 burritos and 120 bottles of water prepped and delivered to the Pitch-A-Tent event hosted by R2F2. Thank you volunteers, Santa Fe Taqueria, and the NW International Hostel for your donations! It was such a great day!

Another BP success! One-hundred burritos lovingly made and passed out. A cool milestone: this month marks three years since BP has been in Portland and 14 months since Angie and I started facilitating BP PDX. In these 14 months, we have passed out approximately 1,200 burritos with the help of our amazing friends and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this!! ♡
It was a beautiful day for Burrito Project today! Thank you Darren Linder, Sharai Wolf, Angie Carter, Alexandria Shaw, Adrienne Claire, and Fuzz for helping to make it a success! ♡
