We wanted to announce a free film screening of Powwow People 🎥👥

This event will be hosted:

When: Thursday, May 21 at 2:00PM
Where: 935 NE. 33rd Ave., Portland, OR 97232

What to expect is a Q&A with director Sky Hopinka📌

We will be providing light refreshments feel free to bring some snacks and enjoy this beautiful film.

We so are humbly grateful to be selected, Barbie’s Village, as of the many sites for the screening of such an impactful film!

We look forward to having you all there this event is first come first served. Arrived early to get good seating!

Join us as we uplift Indigenous voices, honor our relatives, and create space for healing, connection, and action.

The Cedar Sapling Program will be hosting a children’s activity table throughout the event.

Hi FGC Facebook family apologies for the error of not posting these events sooner on this platform.

We are officially one day from from the annual Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives Day of Action. ❤️

We invite community members to stand with us in honoring our missing and murdered Indigenous relatives, uplifting families, and advocating for justice. This gathering will be a healing-centered space rooted in love, remembrance, and community care.

This event will include:

• Community Speakers
• Community Dinner
• Resources & Support
• Activities for Community Connection
• March in Solidarity

Event Schedule:

🍽️ Dinner served at 4:00PM

We hope you’ll join us as we come together to honor our relatives, support impacted families, and continue raising awareness for the MMIR movement.
