Fort Hawthorne

A private social club for artists at the foot of Mt. Tabor, with a massive reference library, video archive, and assorted libations to inspire creativity.

The Fort Hawthorne social club is located not far from the original location of Fort Hawthorne, a 19th century post for elements of the 8th U.S. Cavalry. In May 1888, with an increased number of settlers moving to the Northwest, the 8th Cavalry regiment was ordered to new regimental headquarters located at Fort Meade, South Dakota, and stations at Fort Keogh, Montana, and Fort Hawthorne in Portlan  ...
