Just one week to go until our first dine out at Dairy Hill Ice Cream. Visit their Hawthorne location on October 7, grab a cup (or cone!) of ice cream and then take your picture in the thing! You know... the thing... it's a picture you put your head in.
You can look like ice cream WHILE eating ice cream. Fun!

The Grout PTA has been putting flyers up on windows and bulletin boards ALL over town. Here's one we left on the window at Cloud City Ice Cream! If you know a crafty person looking for a sweet treat and a spot to sell their wares, tell them to find one of our flyers and scan that QR code!!! 🌮🌮🌮 SAVE THE DATE - On October 21st, our amazingly generous friends down the road at Rocio's will be sharing 15% of sales with Grout. Visit Rocio's from 11am-9pm on Wednesday, October 21st and be sure to tell your server you're there for the Grout Dine Out. Eat a delicious meal and help fund our school! 🌮🌮🌮
Grout's 2026 MOVE-A-THON happened today! All 14 classes got a chance to go outside and run around the track for 20 minutes. We are so thankful for the beautiful weather, our amazing volunteers, and the generous folks across the country who supported our school. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

A sneak peek at today's Wednesday Welcome assembly: Grout students learned about silently celebrating (🤗🤗🤗), they practiced the all school quiet signal, and some very special 2nd and 5th graders explained how Friday's MOVE-A-THON will work.
If you'd like to see the quiet signal in action, ask your student what they should do if a grown up at school says "Grout Eagles!"

Currently on display in the school office: Beautiful blooms from the Grout garden. We are so lucky to have such a lovely outdoor classroom at our school.
It started as a joke. It is no longer a joke. We're collecting donations from across America! 🦅🦅🦅
