MomCo PDX is officially going into summer mode ☀️

We’ll be taking June off to rest & rejuvenate! Starting in July, we’ll have one park playdate & one prayer night each month, with full MomCo kicking back off the first week of October! During the short summer break, don’t be shy to invite a MomCo or mentor mom to coffee!

Huge shout out to Kaci Mespelt for taking on this role & bringing all these wonderful Mama Bears together. It is a beautiful blessing that the Lord brought you & Rachelle together to make this all happen. 💕

Big things on the horizon at Grace City! Women’s Bible Study starting next Monday, May the 4th! 6 weeks of reading through Ephesians! No cost: just show up with your Bible & a hunger to grow closer to God. 💜

Every three years, our global family of churches within Every Nation gathers together for the GO Conference! This year it was in Manila, Philippines! A few of our Grace City delegates who attended the conference shared their testimonies today. As God commands, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

This year, three of our members were baptized during Easter Service. Two of these members are in our kid ministry! The third member is the father to one of these kiddos! Such a beautiful & significant experience. He is Risen!

Today marks the beginning of Holy Week. On this Palm Sunday, we shared a Seder meal together in the sanctuary! Traditionally, this Passover meal is eaten either on the Wednesday or Thursday just before Easter. However, this year we wanted to find a time when everyone, including our kids, could participate! We broke bread, read from the Bible, shared some laughs, & created new memories!

Join us this Friday for our first Bible Reading Session! We will be meeting in the church building basement at 6:30 pm. Hearing the Bible read aloud in community is an ancient Christian practice & a powerful tool for meditating on the Word of God. For this week’s preselected readings, God is the overarching theme, with the deeper narrative revealing Him as the true main character.

Lent is here again, folks! Mark your calendars for the following upcoming events, starting with Ash Wednesday service tomorrow! The Lent Daily Podcast will be posted to our story so you can tune in! As you decide what you will be giving up for Lent, keep this Bible verse in mind: But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me. Micah 7:7
