From NEMPN Regional Director Jesse.
Hey PDX EMPs! In exciting news for today, the journal Theory and Practice released their call for papers around the theme "We the Museum"! This is an incredible publishing opportunity for EMPs because Theory and Practice: The Emerging Museum Professionals Journal is co-produced by The Museum Scholar and National Emerging Museum Professionals Network! We really want to encourage all EMPs who have ever thought, "I'd like to publish someday" to consider a submission! Totally understand it can be intimidating to think about publishing your work, so keep an eye-out for a submission-writing workshop hosted by NEMPN coming in December, details out soon!
You can find the call for papers here: https://www.themuseumscholar.org/theory-practice. Please note that this call for papers closes February 1st, 2021 for the Summer 2021 issue. I encourage you all to share far and wide with your networks and with all the EMPs you know!
