Money is the foundation of our sense of security, our well-being, our sense of home, stability, opportunity, nutrition, health, social life... Money is core... So, what do we do when our core is starting to rot?

Thankfully, a seed was planted in 2008 in the fresh dung of the financial crisis – a gift to humanity, another path, a different choice. Like any seed, it started very very small – just an idea – one that brilliant minds had been trying to create for decades (perhaps centuries) – how to create a neutral, universal, incorruptible money.

Now, this seed has grown into a global movement and a powerful tool at each of our fingertips, that allows us to think and operate outside of the boxes and confines and "isms" that we've always been told we must operate within. Rather than going through revolution after revolution, Bitcoin is an evolution. It’s not a transferal of power from one centralized authority to another that promises to be better than the last one – it’s a distribution of power, a decentralization. Your piece of it is sitting on the table, waiting for you to claim it.

Hey friends — especially friends who don't identify as men — I've been invited to speak or lead a workshop at Portland's upcoming "Bitcoin is for Everyone" conference in May. I'm curious what I could offer that might interest you in attending the conference and learning more about Bitcoin? As a woman, I've found it challenging to show up to meetups and conferences knowing the space has been mostly dominated by geeky tech bros that are often throwing around inaccessible jargon. For years, I hosted free monthly Bitcoin 101 workshops that were especially welcome to women and marginalized communities.

I'd love to know what you'd be most curious to learn about at a conference like this and also what would make you hesitate to attend? Do you have any suggestions for a talk, an interactive workshop, a Q&A Panel, or anything else I (and/or other speakers) could offer?
