Forever fascinated by the mystic power of seashells in ancient history and I love seeing them displayed in museums as ancient forms of currency, jewelry, divination tools and offerings. It’s said that temples to Venus & Aphrodite were decorated with seashells. Abalone is said to bridge the physical & spiritual worlds - connecting heaven & earth because of its ability to reflect the colors of both realms…
Both of these abalone rings, set in thick sterling silver, will be available in the shop on Saturday along with a collection of other special pieces. 🐚

I walked into an overcrowded vintage shop looking for an old vase to use as a utensil holder next to the stove in the little place I just moved into on the island, and instead, under a dusty old case found a magical collection of dead stock sterling silver pieces made in Greece in the 70s, 80s, & 90s. Each piece is special — either chunky & weighty feeling ultra lux or, delicate and expertly crafted with intricate & exceptional attention to detail. The collection will be available in the shop on Saturday 7pm EEST/9am PST — see you there. 💋🐚

The end of summer and the wistful sentimental yearning of some past feeling or place in time you can never quite put your finger on but gets stronger every year. 🌬

So much of the year is spent waiting for summer, talking about how hot it is once it is summer and lamenting about the end of it as the last few weeks start to slip away with the shadows growing longer and the thunderstorms rolling in.

Carnelian: the stone of courage to the Ancient Romans and a favorite for carved intaglios and talisman. There’s evidence it’s been used in jewelry making for over 4,500 years, when the Ancient Sumerians first created pieces with the carved stone.

These beauties glow with the color of rich sun baked terracotta roof tops and were made by hand in a little studio tucked away in the Epirus region of Greece. A perfect late summer hue. 🏺

Sometimes it’s really just the simple things: a little sunny spot to sit in the morning while sipping your coffee. A spot to rest in the evening while you watch the people walk by.

There are certain pieces of jewelry that can be put on and worn for days without ever thinking about taking off. Sturdy, classic pieces that aren’t too big or too precious, worn in the water, covered in suntanning oil, worn in the shower while washing the sand from your hair, while cooking, working & doing chores. Pieces that are comfy enough to fall asleep in sometimes, like during a quiet summer nap, after a big meal, when you lift your sundress over your head to crawl in bed, but don’t bother to take off your earrings.
