It’s hard to believe, but an era has officially come to an end. 📺🎸
After nearly 45 years of shaping culture, breaking artists, and giving us some of the most iconic moments in television history, MTV is reportedly shutting down all of its 24 hour music channels.
From the first time "Video Killed the Radio Star" aired in 1981 to the golden age of TRL, Unplugged, and even the reality TV boom, MTV was the heartbeat of a generation.
It wasn't just a channel; it was how we discovered our favorite music, our fashion, and our voice.
What’s your favorite MTV memory? Whether it’s staying up late for
Headbangers Ball, watching the VMAs, or rushing home after school to see who was Number 1 on the countdown, share it below! 👇

Is anyone else excited for this?
Apple TV is gearing up for what's already being hailed as TV's next big thing. Already, it's being compared to the likes of 24, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones, even though nobody has seen more than a few extremely short and vague trailers.
The show, "Pluribus," is television mastermind Vince Gilligan's newest venture, and is shrouded in mystery. Apple has only released an intriguingly vague plot synopsis stating, "The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness," and the Pluribus trailers have so far been quick clips with a very sinister energy.
Gilligan is no stranger to television hits. Of course, Breaking Bad is widely considered to be one of the greatest shows of all time, as is it's follow-up, Better Call Saul.
Despite all this mystery, at least one person in the world has an inkling of just how big this series is going to be...
Bob Odenkirk, who has worked with Gilligan for years as Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, had this to say...
“I don’t know a damn thing. But, I know it’s going to be massive. Massive! It’s going to be the biggest thing, well, since sliced bread, but really since Game of Thrones. You probably know what’s the biggest lately, but probably since Severance. I know Severance, in it's way, is a big, big effort. So, I think that Pluribus is going to be the next big show, and I can’t wait.”
But, Gilligan also worked on The X-Files, so not only does he have a handle on nuanced character dramas, but he also knows how to work within the world of a sci-fi epic.
Though it's hard to truly tell just how massive Pluribus will be, it's an intriguing notion to think of where Gilligan could take such a premise.
Pluribus is set to premiere on November 7th and, besides a few other scant details like supporting cast members; Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga, Apple is holding onto and staying tight lipped on the series and all the secrecy surrounding it.That may be Apple TV+'s best bet for building up hype for the series. Which, if the rumors are true, Pluribus certainly has the potential to be a major talking point among the critics and a beloved hit with audiences.
All, we know is that we're stoked, and more than ready, for another Vince Gilligan banger!
