“True beauty transcends the mirror; it’s a reflection of your spirit.” -Unknown-
Crowning Date: July 13, 2025
I was crowned with the prestigious National Title of Ms American Nation 2025-2026! Respectfully on the land of The Golden Hill Paugussett, The Mashantucket Pequot, The Mohegan, The Paucatuck Eastern Pequot, and The Schaghticoke Indigenous People. Considerately, on the land that is now known as Cromwell, Connecticut.
I competed at Nationals with my regional title as Ms Pacific Northwest 2025. Pageant Week was filled with sophistication, empowerment, sisterhood and celebration! It was sparkled with style, spirit, and community as finalists from across the country gathered for competition at the 2025 Miss American Nation Pageant.
The weekend commenced with optional competitions, judged by the esteemed Monica Mordowanec and Victor Navarez. Delegates took to the stage to showcase talent, special presentations, and other creative entries that went beyond the core pageant phases of competition.
For the “State Wear” competition, I wore a Jingle Dress! I chose a Jingle Dress to represent the Indigenous community of the Pacific Northwest and the Muskogee (Creek) Nation. A Jingle Dress can be worn as an Indigenous woman’s Powwow Regalia for competition attire, wardrobe, or ceremonies. A Jingle Dress and dance can be used for the physical and spiritual healing of family and community members too. My Jingle Dress reflected my tribal affiliation, personal style, and flair.
As evening arrived finalists, families, and well wishers gathered anxiously at the elegant Black and Gold Banquet & Optional Awards Ceremony. Winners were to be announced celebrating excellence and creativity from the optional competitions. At the Banquet it was announced that I won the coveted and highly anticipated award of "State Wear.”
I was selected out of all the senior delegates competing in the State Wear category. In addition to the acclaimed award, I was given a stunning accompanying crown and sash. I cried from sheer happiness and surprise. I was appreciative to represent my Native heritage on a national stage. I know my elders and ancestors would be proud of me.
As the pageant ensued, during the final phase of competition of evening gown followed by crowning. I felt a wave of intense emotions. My negative self-talk was kicking into overdrive to hurry up and resolve this contest. With determination I stayed focused and continued to pray.
As all of the delegates showcased their exquisite gowns we waited with anticipation for the crowning moment. I couldn't believe it when my name was announced as the winner, Ms American Nation 2025-2026! What an absolutely surreal and humbling experience. I cried! I was so overwhelmed with joy and astonishment. Really I was.
Thank you so much to the exceptional panel of Judges Traci Conway, Cherise Floyd Pickering, and Christina Couto. I am grateful for your dedication, passion, and generosity of your resources, time, and energy to help make dreams come true.
Winning a National Pageant is a significant achievement that comes with both immediate and long-term responsibilities that I do not take lightly. I will be utilizing my reign to raise awareness and create a legacy to benefit the under served, marginalized, and vulnerable populations.

"Outer beauty turns the head, but inner beauty turns the heart." Helen J. Russell
My unforgettable year-long reign was filled with memories, growth, and inspiration! My reign is ending as Ms. Culture Galaxy 2025. Throughout the year I intentionally placed myself in key positions where I could interact with people from all walks of life. I purposefully structured my community appearances, volunteer advocacy opportunities, donations and events, to connect in an impactful way while working with underserved, marginalized, and vulnerable populations.
Some highlights from my reign include donations to “The Shopp,” which directly aids survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. More over, volunteering at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration Annual Tribute hosted by the World Arts Foundation, Inc. I was also honored to conduct live video recorded interviews of community leaders attending the event.
In addition, I had the great pleasure of serving as a Judge for the Miss Black Global Pageant 2025. Traveling to San Diego, California, I judged all ten divisions including the highly competitive International category.
Just to name a few, other engaging volunteer opportunities included the Ampkwa Advocacy 2nd Annual Missing & Murdered Indigenous Peoples Awareness Dinner. As well as the Northwest Native Chamber celebration of 50 Years of Empowering Native Economies. Plus, the 21st Annual NAYA Gala and Art Auction, which is recognized as the largest celebration of Native American Heritage Month in the Pacific Northwest.
Furthermore, I am excited to announce that during my reign I obtained three Brand Ambassador campaigns that I continue to work with today. All three companies are owned and operated by women of color. They are Nina Fresa Cosmetics, Afro Amazônia Wear Clothing, and N8iV Beauty.
As my year draws to a close, prior to pageant week all reigning royalty were required to submit a comprehensive log of our volunteer hours during our reign. This stipulation was in order to be considered for the illustrious title of “Queen of Queens.”
The title of “Queen of Queens” means you represented your title with grace, pride, and integrity over the past year. The exclusive award is given by the Director and staff who are acknowledging your efforts in sharing your pageant journey. My submission encompasses the results of my full year of reign as Ms. Culture Galaxy. The qualifications are based on your entire body of appearances, donations, volunteerism, and community service engagement.
The “Queen of Queens" title signifies you have not only wore your crown but you have truly served as an Ambassador spreading positivity in your community. Honoring our dedication and service throughout the year and the impact we made.
The title of “Queen of Queens” was to be announced at the Black & Gold legendary banquet and Awards Ceremony during pageant week. At the banquet I won the highly coveted award “Queen of Queens.” I was selected out of the Miss & Ms. Culture Galaxy royalty divisions with the prestigious title. In addition to the distinguished title, I also was gifted a stunning accompanying crown, sash, and scepter! What an absolutely surreal and humbling experience when my name was called as the winner. I cried! I was so overwhelmed with joy and shock. To me this award meant that my Director and staff members were pleased with the successful way I carried out my International title and that my hard work, passion, and dedication hadn’t gone unnoticed.
Following at the banquet was the talented, kind, and beautiful Julia Hart, who won "Queen of Queens" for the Miss American Nation Pageant, which is a separate pageant. Julia is not only an accomplished dancer. She has a heart of gold and is wise beyond her years. She always offers a warm smile and a hug. She's my sister Queen, baby girl! I officially asked her if I can be her "Cool Aunt," and I was thrilled when she agreed.
Regarding the pageant organizers, in appreciation I would like to offer a huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Debbie, my International Director for creating a pageant that focuses on self-belief, inner strength, and the importance of making a positive impact. You encourage contestants to embrace their unique qualities, believe in their potential, and use their platform to inspire others.
To Elizabeth Paine, in acknowledgment thank you for your continued kindness and support throughout my reign.
To my sister Queens, I love our synergy and how supportive and encouraging we are to each other.
To all staff members and volunteers who are so invaluable. Thank you! You all contribute greatly to allow this wonderful pageant to grow and thrive year after year.
Furthermore, I would like to welcome and offer Congratulations to my International successor, the amazing Elizabethan Thoma, representing Romania. I'm excited to watch her reign as she is proudly advocating for the Romani/Roma community. Elizabethan is a powerful, resilient, and beautiful woman. She is an awesome addition to our pageant family and it was my great honor to crown her.
Here’s to signing off, and deplaning one last time as your Ms. Culture Galaxy 2024-2025!
Humbly,
Marneet Lewis
