On November 15, 2024 we hosted a MEChA Leadership Conference at PCC Cascade. Our lead organizer Citlalli Nunez Barragan, Co-chair of PCC MEChA Rock Creek, and John Mayoral of the PCC Clear Clinic created an empowering event. In attendance were several Portland Highschool, Portland State University MEChA presented a session and the opening panel featured MEChistas from the 60s, 90s, and now. It was a wonderful Friday making community with students and educators! Lots of exciting things are happening in the Pacific Northwest!

There is still time to register online, or you can register in person. Check out the links to the programs below and you'll find a long line of amazing presenters! Also note the public events that are a part of the Chola Conference, which include an Art Show and Lowrider Sunday event with live music, poetry, open mic, and vendors! Community members, high school and college students are encouraged to attend!
