The Klamath Tribes are challenging illegal orders stemming from a backroom agreement that removed a long-time administrative law judge in the Klamath Basin Adjudication—without notifying the Tribes or other parties. Tribal water rights deserve transparency, fairness, and due process. Read now: https://narf.org/klamath-tribes-challenge-orders/

IN MEMORY FOR
MICHAEL LONEWOLF RAMIREZ
BIG 4 WAZE
Im of the chico Rancheria California Maidu People Mechoopda tribe. Born April 16th, 1976. In Oakland California. I was mostly raised in the city of Portland Oregon, & Reno Nevada, but all through my life i would end up back home, with my people (My family) In chico Rancheria. Which is Native American housing (The Rez).
Our Reservation is in the middle of a rough neighborhood called "Chapman town."
& the only thing that separates Our Tribe from unwanted visitors, is a cement wall & fencing.
My grandparents, Frank & Harriett Pearl Ramirez, Were pastors of: Open Door Outreach Ministries. They both dedicated their lives to God/(Creator) & helping others. They are elders in the Mechoopda Tribe & have Both since passed on to the spirit world. My parents, Frank & Ruth gave me the name: Michael Lonewolf Ramirez. But i was later given the handle of (Big-4-Waze) At the age of 16. At that point I had lost sight of the Red Road & began a hard walk of ups & downs as a Gangster. A life that lead me to many fist fights, fast money, fast women, drugs & eventually Prison. I've lived a hard up bringing. But one thing my father taught me is how to persevere through adversity. I don't want to romanticize The steps of the journey I've walked. & I discourage young people from emulating my walk & early adulthood.
I would like to point out that back in the day Our Red People, as Natives, were never violent People & would only fight for liberation & invaluabillity, & we didn't do drugs for recreation. we have certain Medicines for Healing & Spiritual Ceremonial practices only.
In 2002, while in prison well surviving a 2 year bid, i was introduced to a good Native Brother of the Black feet people. (Who is now An Elder & is on his walk as a Holy Man)-"I was going through a really tough time when i met this Brother. I was really disconnected from my people & full of confusion that Lead to hatred for all the people that ever hurt me or wronged me in any way. & the hate was like a cancer eating me from the inside out. I was self destructing. & this Holy Man from a medicine circle called Red Soldier Society (RSS) pulled me aside, because he could see i was suffering in a bad way. I needed help. so he shared some wise words with me (in a good way) & the words he shared with me had Strong Medicine in them. & at that point i was free from all the sickness & hate. I was able to grow & move on with my life with a whole new outlook on things. But when i got out of prison i made the same mistake "that a lot of us make" & i started hanging around the same people i ran with before Prison, & i was back to thuggin & druggin, & i faced the same adversity as i did before i went to Prison. Which eventually lead me back to Prison for 10 1/2 years for attempted murder while high on recreational drugs. I eventually learned that drugs werent good for me or any of the Red People
To all my relations I send Ls and Rs to you all keep your head high and continue to walk in a good way
