Right now, we’re driving funds to recognize and resource rainforest communities – but we need your help.
🌳Donations today will help us reach our target of $400k and go directly towards supporting rainforest communities to protect Earth’s most climate- and biodiversity-critical ecosystems.
🌳With your help, we can collectively restore hundreds of hectares of rainforest annually, and grow to support more rainforest communities than ever before in Indonesia, Brazil, Madagascar, Panama, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Papua – the rainforests that our planet depends on.

“Seeing deforestation is heartbreaking,” explains photographer
“But standing inside a 15-meter-high forest that was completely reforested, where nothing existed just 13 years ago, is profoundly hopeful.”
As Dotter recently told , his collaboration with Health In Harmony began in the Brazilian Amazon in 2021. Since then, Dotter has documented his time among rainforest communities in the Amazon, Borneo, and Madagascar, through portraiture, action shots of local wildlife and remarkable landscapes.

For two and a half weeks, our Indonesian partners, ASRI, joined our Madagascar team, HIH-FAMI, to discuss reforestation, build climate-resilient nurseries in Ikongo, hold informational workshops, and co-create community solutions.
Even across oceans, the planetary health unity was unmistakable: one purpose, one forest system that connects us all. As Mahardika Putra Purba states,
“Together, we continue to learn, adapt, and act. Because in the end, there is no ‘their forest’ or ‘our forest.’ There is only one. One forest at a time, one planet for all.”

💧 Water is life. Yet the community of Puerto Lara is facing a water crisis due to persistent failures in its water supply system. Despite repeated promises from the authorities, the situation remains unresolved. This is what Indigenous communities in Panama are up against.
🌳 Health In Harmony, alongside .films and , supported filmmaking training for Indigenous communities to tell their stories on their own terms. This film is an outcome of those workshops.
📚 As we move towards the end of the year, we continue to emphasize narrative sovereignty and storytelling as a key mechanism to support Indigenous sovereignty, improving the infrastructure and well-being of all Indigenous communities worldwide.

Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendants, and local communities safeguard Earth’s ‘natural capital’ — the forests, biodiversity, and ecosystem services on which all life depends. Their traditional knowledge and expertise guarantee the systems that regulate our climate and health, yet global finance treats their work as invisible.
EQUITY OVER EXTRACTIVISM
It’s time to place rainforest communities’ knowledge and guardianship at the top of the climate value chain. Join us in catalyzing more ethical financial models that fully recognize, reward, and resource community-led stewardship at the link in bio.
