Congratulations to all our 8th Grade Dragons! We know you meet the adventures to come with fire and ferociousness (but have a fun summer first).

TONIGHT (6/5) at ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL (in the Gymnasium). Event starts at 6, but grads need to be there at 5:30.

(Need extra time? Eighth Graders can be checked out of school early, at 1pm, following the 8th Grade picnic. This can be done through [email protected], the parentview app, or by calling the main office.)

OMG. Are late starts still A Thing? Yup! It's LATE START TODAY, 6/2. Tell your kids they look super fetch, spend the extra 15 minutes basking in their nervous confusion. 😜

TOMORROW, 6/2, is LATE START!

That's right, school starts 15 minutes late, so if you need to stay up late finishing your book, movie, existential crisis, tv show, etc, be assured it will be fine! Even if you stay up another hour or three, it's late start! You'll be FINE. If you fall asleep *immediately* after you finish you'll still get, like, vaguely close to almost nearly the minimum recommended amount.** So go ahead and seize the night, late start is here for you.

Calling ALL OG parents/adults: we need a LOT of hands to wrap up the year! Can you:
** Hand deliver smoothies to staff?
** Cook burgers/dogs? Serve food? OR Loan a grill or picnic blanket for the 8th grader picnic?
** Give the staff room a pre-summer clean up?

Please note that unfortunately the garden work party scheduled for this weekend (5/30) has been cancelled.

We suppose you could work in your own garden, if you like that sort of thing. 😉

A week ago we were wrapping up Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you again to everyone who helped love on the OGMS staff by picking up donations/supplies, filling the freezer with frozen treats, or making homemade goodies.
