Join us on June 21st for our annual Daddy’s Day Brunch. Every year on this day, in honor of my Pops, I host a farm brunch that he would have loved. Come enjoy an all you can eat, seed to plate southern style meal grown on our land . Bring your dad, someone who is like a dad, bring both your dads, bring your dad in spirit, bring whoever you love and want to celebrate. This year, we are offering to anyone that would like to celebrate their Dad or a loved one that has passed, by inviting you to bring a photo to put up on the farm altar during brunch. There are a few of us on the Side Yard crew that have lost our dads, parents, siblings and would like them to be there in spirit. Please feel free to join us in that.

Happy Pride month y’all! I’m making my way back to Portland for the summer, after being at our Rogue Valley location fall-spring. Excited to be back and host all your favorite farm events this summer with the S*F crew. Check out the upcoming June events we got going on.

Farmer Nae and my dear friend Kae have been getting Side Yard through the month of May. Sorry I couldn’t help myself! And then my friend Trey lent a hand at the farm recently and a volunteer named Mae. Come on! I’m not making this up. In all seriousness tho, there has been some transitions this past month and I am incredibly grateful for these farmers and friends who have kept things going strong at Side Yard. We are also welcoming Talia and Kit to the farm crew this week!

Stuffed Loukamades
Citrus & Magnolia. Mastiha Custard. Sorrel Honey. Spiced Nuts
Loukamades are little honey soaked Greek donuts made out of a sweet yeasted dough and fried. They aren’t usually stuffed/filled, it’s a pain in the ass. After brunch last Sunday, my sous chef Kenzie looked at me after she took a one bite and said, “well…we’re fu**ed. Looks like now we will be stuffing these from now on”🤣. She forgot about the 300 tiny little donuts she piped pastry cream into hours prior to that bite!

This Saturday, May 16th from 10am-2pm will be our last plant sale of the season! Everything is 50% off. We still have a ton of tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cukes, summer & winter squash, gherkins, cukes and herbs!

We said goodbye to our beloved Bug today. She was surrounded by her loves and purred the entire time in true Bug fashion. 18 years of hanging with my girl and I am forever grateful for her companionship. Bug was an amazing farm cat , as so many of you know. She loved greeting people at farm events, belly rubs, kids, her brother Benny 🐕 and butter. I know so many of you adored her, thank you for giving her love over the years. We will miss her terribly, she was something else! ❤️

Come on out to the farm Saturday, April 18th 10am-2pm for our 18th annual tomato plant sale! We will have over 25 varieties of tomatoes for you to choose from. Other summer plant starts making an appearance are cukes, peppers, summer squash, greens, herbs and so much more.
