Giving this Mini its own wee spot-light. Took quite a few goes to get this yellow right. Want to see if I can pull it off on a 48x36 “ inch panel I have waiting in the wings. Always a tricky balance - reproducing versus riffing off previous work 🌻🌼🐝🐥💛

In the olden days, we used to do these Spot the Difference games in the comic and puzzle section of the newspaper. I know. This one is tricky 😬❤️

Honest to goodness - there is a sort of logic to all of this. It’s all about having everything to hand 😬

A wee mosaic shot of the 4 Minis I’ve made so far. V e r y interesting playing around with the different base colors and finding how many/what size/best shape elements and marks work with each. Entirely different behavior all over the place 🤓🍓🐜🦋🐸🌷🌸🐞🐝

These wee minis are less than 2x2 inches. I make these for our free Art and Books box using off cuts from our framing wood. In the past I was only doing my wonky vessel and flowers. But I decided it would be interesting to see how my abstract work would do, scaled down so much. The first picture shows the first two I did today. The second photo is a close up of the ‘undies’ layer. My 05 fine point Gelly Roll Sakura pen worked really well for the lacy bits, despite my concerns. I will admit to feeling a bit cross-eyed, however 😵‍💫👋🦋🐞🌸🍓
