Plumbers…you can’t drill holes greater than 1/3 of a joist thickness.( ok here) and with in 2” of an edge. (Not ok here) this joist must now be reinforced.

Haven't posted anything over here in a while. Most of my work has been focused on the Open Bench Project. But here is a shot of a mudroom I built for some wonderful clients last month. Now they have me back to add some closets in the master bedroom. I am fortunate to have such great clients.

Listen. If you mount a very heavy iron fire escape to your building and do not place it on blocking. The wall WILL get crushed and collapse.
