Who knew making quail for dinner could be so easy…and delicious!
The darling quail came butterfly’ed so I stuffed with two olives in each, wrapped the breast portion in organic bacon, laid them on bed of chopped garlic and rosemary on a medium-hot skillet, searing each side until bacon is crispy, and until internal temp of the meat was 150-160.
Served with a sweet potato and broccoli, kale, and mushroom medley on the side.

Along with the monumental shift in flipping the food pyramid to emphasize real, minimally processed, whole foods, increased proteins and healthy fats, the new guidelines call out ultra–processed foods, added sugar, and prepackaged foods.

This is a huge step in the right direction of acknowledging a difference between foods at the government level. I’ve heard some quip that RFK Jr. and his office are influenced by certain industry people.

I’ll take influence from whole food farmers, offering minimally processed, nutrient-dense, REAL food to corporate capture of the government by the Sugar industry (which replaced Big To***co), the cereal magnates, Big Pharma, and the rest of them—pushing us further into obesity—>diabetes—>and a future of rote robots hooked on GLP-1 drugs (Ozempic).

At some point we have to question what we’ve been taught not to see.

Sharpen our sense of discernment, and grow our awareness of the systems shaping our lives.

Ultra processed food is a primary driver of 80% of chronic disease: 90 minutes after a meal or snack: Blood Sugar crashes, depletion of vitamin reserves occurs, nutrients potassium, B1, Magnesiuk are sucked out.

But, the brain is impacted first - with mood changes, grouchyness, edgyness, and highly critical moods. And cognitive function declines.

Yes, butter and beef tallow (that fat layer that rises to the top of the gelatinous liquid when you cook a roast or a stew) are best for us! No more vegetable oils, canola, margarine, processed seed oils!

From Kyle Diamantas, Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods at the FDA: “90% of healthcare dollars in this country are spent on chronic disease. We are the sickest country in the world. And 46th in life expectancy, 70% of Americans are living with a chronic disease.”

Dr. Robert Malone had this to say about the pushback of the pyramid: this “threatens the established petroleum-based pharma industry.”

Onward. In health.

Cabbage omelette is the new cool!
Wow, is it so scrumptiously delicious 😋
We visited with a friend yesterday, who’s recovering well from a prostate “condition,” (the more accurate “C” word because the latter insinuates permanence and stagnation, whereas the former has a temporary quality and showcases the opportunity for transformation).
As we were discussing foods and lifestyle practices to support his body during this time, I casually mentioned cabbage as a great immune-boosting food, and fermented cabbage for the gut microbiome. He then told me about an omelette recipe with, of all things, cabbage!
It sparked my interest and got my stomach rumbling.
I dreamt up a simple recipe and tried it the very next morning:
- Coat a cast iron skillet with a pad of (grass-fed) butter
-Sprinkle in some mineralized sat
- Grate 1/2 cup purple cabbage into the pan of melted butter, simmer for 2-3 minutes
- Whip up 3 eggs with 1/8 cup oat milk
- Pour egg mixture over the cabbage,
- Sprinkle in Herbs de Provence spices, if you have on hand
- Cover pan with a lid for 2-3 minutes
- Unstick the omelette from bottom of pan using a spatula running along perimeter of pan
- Flop onto plate and dig in!
(serving size one person)

Please share comments below if you try this meal, and any adjustments you make. Would love to hear how this can evolve!

Bon appetit!

‘tis the season to start the homemade Vanilla extract process! I’m using grade A madagascar vanilla beans and some vanilla will be extracted for 8 weeks via vodka, and others with whiskey. Is it too early for a cocktail? Cheers!

Makes for a great Christmas gift for the bakers in your family 😋

DM me if you want the recipe.

So much wisdom from this co. I started following because my husband rides motorcycles and gets their newsletters. This one is particularly poignant.

"Fear is the anticipatory anxiety of harm, real or imagined. When fear anticipates a real avoidable harm, it protects us. However, when it anticipates an inevitable harm, or an avoidable harm, but does so disproportionately or, even worse, when it anticipates a merely imaginary harm, it can be disastrous.

Fear is consubstantial to human beings, but there are exogenous elements interested in exacerbating it.
Thus, governmental powers are creating a society that compassionately seeks an unattainable security that idealizes a fantasy: living with zero risk.

They offer us a false promise of security in exchange for our freedom and do so under two premises. The first is that everything is dangerous; the second is that all danger can be avoided if we obey certain rules ordered by the Power, whether political, scientific or medical, which will protect us from all evil.

Fear eventually leads to servitude. However, feeling the power of danger keeps us unique and unrepeatable, just as nature created us."

Thank you El Solitario!

VAERS - Report an Adverse Event 08/20/2024

Did you know? You can report an adverse event or reaction you experienced after getting the covid shot, or any vaccine. This is the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. To date the government (aka taxpayers) have paid out over $4 billion dollars in vaccine-related injury and death claims. I say taxpayers, because in 1986 a bill was signed that removed all liability from vaccine manufacturers, even if vaccine-related injury has been proven. The responsibility now falls on the government/taxpayers, since Reagan signed into law the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (Public Law 99-660).

In addition, the COVID-19 vaccine injury claims have paid over $48 million, and the adverse event of myocarditis from the covid shot alone totaled 370,376 in reimbursements.

VAERS - Report an Adverse Event The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is a national early warning system to detect possible safety problems in vaccines used in the United States. VAERS accepts and analyzes reports of adverse events (AEs) after a person has received a vaccination. Anyone can report an adverse event to....

My new canine clients, 10-month Linden and 11-week old Lizzy 🤍

Their human companions, Melissa & Chris, are starting off on the right foundation for a long life for their Golden pups; a blend of homemade food and raw meat, fresh in-season berries, homeopathic nosodes (in lieu of toxic vaccines), natural pest control (like blue green algae for immune health and omega-3s), and loads of love!
