VERY BUSY hurricane season ahead!
Colorado State University UPDATED their tropical prediction Wednesday to an even more active and potentially dangerous season.
We just had Isaias, the soonest we've reached the letter I.
The update calls for a total of 24 named storms (average any given year in the Atlantic is 12). More worrisome, the update calls for 5 major hurricanes in the Atlantic (Category 3 or higher). We haven't had a major hurricane yet this season.
NOTE the Atlantic hurricane season typically peaks September 10th. The next names are Josephine, Kyle and Laura.
