FYI -

Recap of yesterday's budget session. Good news for District 2—they got their fire engine back! Unfortunately, District 1 is still being left in the dark. We are still waiting to hear if our three two-person medical rescue units will be restored to 24-hour service instead of just "peak hours."

While we did manage to claw back a little funding for SummerWorks and some pothole patching, it feels like a drop in the bucket. A few filled potholes don't make up for losing the East Precinct, P3s, and dependable, round-the-clock emergency medical response. The fight for our fair share of public safety continues.
