Classic Portland roadhouse for people who like to shoot the breeze and enjoy a pint together: 18 tap

05/01/2026

Trees are for hugging, and so are our Buddies and Papas and Blitzie dogs and children. Speaking of hugs, stop by today, and for every Reuben sold and paid for with cash we will donate 1.80 towards Oregon Wild, an incredible non profit that is working to protect our precious wilderness, waters, and wildlife.

This administration is threatening the last of our mature and old growth trees on BLM land (areas like Alsea Falls, Rogue River, and the Molalla River to name a fraction.)
We’re donating 10% of cash sales to Oregon Wild today. Check out their work on their website!

Bro! The Goose 100% supports all-things-no-Kings!! We are so proud of Portland! Don’t give up on what we all know is right: being kind, taking care of people and planet, and rejecting toxic selfishness and grifting.

There are so many reasons to enjoy our soup and salad combo:
Warm indoor seating with vintage decor;
Cool dog-friendly patio with rain tapping on the canopy;
Outdoor seating with heaters and room to chat and laugh with friends (and your dog);
And then there’s: homemade soup everyday and house-recipe salad dressings and foothill garlic croutons.
Today’s soup is blended Portobello mushroom with braised eye of round (optional) garnish. Our soup chefs (Zoe, Todd, and Marcel) bring talent and tastebuds to the Goose table!

Timbers season opener match starts tonight at 7:30! ⚽ Since last season we've repaved our parking lot, fixed a couple damaged beer lines, reupholstered and painted our booths, and much more. Now we're ready for another awesome year of hosting fans and friends 💚💛 We'll have the deck heated and back patio area open today but dress warm or arrive early to snag a spot inside. See you soon! (:

The Goose is closed today for a variety of repairs and needed maintenance.
We apologize for the inconvenience of shutting down our dear watering hole today! We literally can’t pour beer now until the new beer lines are all connected! We love clean beer lines!
See you tomorrow, friends.
Whoop! Whoop!!

Hi friends! As many of you know, there is a general strike today and many local businesses are closing as a way to protest the funding of ICE operations in our cities.

Although the Goose will remain open today, we stand in solidarity with these businesses and wholeheartedly support those who decide to protest this administration's shameful attacks on our immigrant communities.

The Goose has always been a safe place for those in Portland to gather and peacefully share a difference of opinion. As Bud Clark stated, "If physical violence is your nature, either develop your verbal ability or leave." We continue to stand by that.

The violence and racism perpetrated by ICE and this administration has no place in our communities. Thank you for helping us make the Goose Hollow Inn a safe and peaceful place to engage with others no matter who they are or where they come from. We know in times of fear and hardship we can rely on our neighbors. 🫶

We encourage our customers to utilize their power by supporting local organizations and businesses during and beyond the general strike. Today, it's important that we make an impact, so 10% of all cash sales made will be donated to the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (). Be safe and take care of each other, Goose Hollow fam! 💗

It looks great up here, and Erin and I are enjoying the vibe. Tom will be in at 3:30/4. His art is priced to enjoy. Here next door to the Goose in our coffee house lounge area until 6 pm.

Portland artist Tom Cramer painted our bollard (a post set into the concrete to keep cars away from customers and building). We’re excited to partner with him on Black Friday, where we will be selling his work, including paintings and statuettes (see the last photo which I have at home). We will also be offering discounts on every piece of Goose apparel, from sweatshirts, to T-Shirts and beanies (2 styles).
One day only, from 1 - 6:00 pm at Fehrenbacher Hof (next door to the Goose) in the upstairs lounge.

Apologies for the short notice, but we'll be having another Goose Hollow-een party tomorrow at 7pm! 🎃 Our beloved Doug Naish will be hosting the costume contest, and we'll have snacks, specials, and free sodas for those who are driving! We hope to see you there! 👻🕷️🫣

It’s not right, fair, or anything close to wise for the President to constantly label the press as “dishonest”. It’s also indisputably hypocritical. He puts our journalists and our democracy in jeopardy. We’re so proud of our town, our citizens, our fellow businesses, our neighborhoods, and our marchers! Whoop! Whoop!!
