Construction is officially underway at Trailhead Apartments in Issaquah! 🏗️
Walsh recently joined King County Housing Authority, Weber Thompson, community leaders, and project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of this new eight-story affordable housing community.
Once complete, Trailhead will provide 159 homes for individuals and families earning up to 40% and 60% of Issaquah’s Area Median Income (AMI). The project also includes shared living options operated by Life Enrichment Options and a 10,000-square-foot Opportunity Center that will connect residents with programs, support, and community resources.
Located near transit and designed with welcoming outdoor spaces, Trailhead will contribute to a more connected and accessible neighborhood for its future residents.
We’re excited to bring this project to life with our Walsh team: Joe Grim, Nathan Connaway, Matt Holcom, Les Baker, Jacob Young, Parker Kaech, and Marwa Zahid. 💚

The Walsh team was honored to join partners from Fora Health Treatment & Recovery, Clackamas County, Metro, Edlen & Company, Oregon Recovers, Holst, and many others in celebrating the groundbreaking of the future Clackamas County Recovery Campus.
This milestone is a powerful example of what can be accomplished when public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and industry partners come together with a shared commitment to improving lives. Once complete, the campus will provide a full continuum of recovery services, including detox, residential treatment, mental health care, medication-assisted treatment, peer support, care coordination, and transitional housing, creating new pathways to long-term recovery and successful community reintegration.
Congratulations to Clackamas County, Fora Health, Edlen & Co., Holst, and everyone whose vision and collaboration made this project possible. We're proud that Walsh team members Dan Snow, Brian Layman, Lee Santoyo, Tyler Granshaw, and Megan Smith were part of this meaningful event and look forward to supporting a project that will strengthen behavioral health services across our community.
Together, we're helping build hope, opportunity, and a stronger future for those on their recovery journey.

Walsh knows how to build great projects, but we also know how to throw a pretty great picnic! 💚
Our Oregon team gathered at Alderbrook Park in Brush Prairie, where employees and their families enjoyed face painting, balloon art, a photo booth, a bounce house, mini golf, paddle boats, a petting zoo, the mini train, swimming, lawn games, and pink lemonade fountains. Rip City BBQ kept everyone well fed, while BINGO and the highly anticipated raffle prizes brought out some friendly competition.
Meanwhile, our Washington team took over Bullwinkle’s Family Fun Center in Tukwila for an afternoon of mini golf, bumper boats, arcade games, laser tag, go-karts, and plenty of time to catch up outside the office and jobsites.
Different locations, same priorities: good food, family fun, and taking BINGO very seriously.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s company picnics a success!

We celebrated the latest phase at Hillside Park with a groundbreaking ceremony last week.
As Blossom + Community and Parkside Heights completed a couple months ago, work moved to Buildings D and E—aka Phase II. This phase will bring an additional 164 affordable homes, along with amenities including a bike room, conference and work room, teen room, tenant lounge, food pantry, fitness center, playground, and more. Centro Cultural will provide on-site resident services including a STEM-focused after-school program. Additional service providers include Impact NW, Unite Oregon, and Community Vision.
Once the entire redevelopment is complete, it will hold over 500 permanently affordable homes! It’s an honor to continue to support this incredible project alongside partners Clackamas County Housing Authority, Related Northwest, and Holst Architecture.

Yesterday, our Seattle team stepped away from their desks and headed to the Wesley Des Moines campus for a project tour!
We revisited some of Walsh’s past work, checked out the Bistro and Dining area currently under construction in the Terrace, and got a look at the future site of the Creekside building.
A big thank you to Marc Streleski, Qasim Gill, Drew Mixter, Michael Corpus, and Emilee Henderson for showing us around and sharing more about the exciting work happening across campus!

It was a privilege to spend time on site this week with the team at Fora Health Home for Fora Health Treatment & Recovery, a project that will provide hope, stability, and a pathway forward for individuals in recovery.
Designed by Holst and located adjacent to Fora Health's treatment center in Southeast Portland, the new 20,000 SF facility will provide 46 recovery housing beds for individuals transitioning from substance use disorder treatment. Residents will have access to stable housing along with continued outpatient care, peer support, counseling, and community resources.
Projects like this remind us that it truly takes a community to create lasting change. We're grateful for the leadership of Fora Health, and the incredible partners at the Oregon Health Authority, Multnomah County, the Portland Clean Energy Fund, Trillium Community Health Plan, and the many partners who have come together to make this vision a reality. Their collective commitment demonstrates that supporting recovery means investing in both people and place.
A heartfelt thank you to our Walsh team for the care, collaboration, and craftsmanship you bring to this important work, including, Alicia LaManna, CSI, CDT, John Hardesty, Kolby Shimojima, Amanda Flores, and everyone contributing behind the scenes. We're honored to help build a place that will make a meaningful difference in our community for years to come.
