Here’s mine, a 10 inch Cast Iron skillet made in Taiwan that I bought at Goldblatt’s Department Store in 1974, when I moved out of my parents house and into my own tiny studio apartment In Rodgers’s Park. These days it gets mostly used for baking pineapple upside down cakes and Dutch Baby pancakes. It’s never been scrubbed, just scraped out and wiped clean and hung up, and it’s as non-stick as any Teflon pan. Show off your favorite pan!

Neato Thing ‘o the Day at Really Good Stuff SE 37th and Division I got this cool old poster from Pete Karnes’ ex manager. My questions are: Did Charlie bring his own band or did Brown Sugar (minus Paul deLay I guess ) back him, and who did the graphic design ? Feel free to expound !

We used to play the Portland Marathon every year. Same spot up on N Willamette near Rosa Parks. One year just as we were starting up around 7:50 AM a guy came out of his house in his robe and slippers and started yelling at us, asking if we were crazy, making loud noises and disturbing his sleep on a peaceful Sunday morning!! He walked out into the street to better confront us then happened to look up and noticed the police es**rt bearing down on him followed by a stampede of marathoners. His mouth opened in shock and he beat it back inside. How this character failed to get the memo is beyond me.
