When we closed shop, many of you asked if we could share some of our recipes. It's taken a LOT longer than anticipated to get this going, but we have finally begun this process! We will post one recipe a week at tinpanbakery.com, at least for a couple months. We've done our best to rewrite the recipes for home bakers in terms of quantities, measurements, and directions, but use the contact on the website to email us if you have questions so we can make the recipes as clear as possible, or if you have a request for a certain recipe. (Note--we probably will not reply to DMs so please avoid those.)

The first one up is of course Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Hello Friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I have to announce the end of Tin Pan. Over the past nine years we have weathered inflation, tight labor markets, a pandemic, ingredient shortages, and more, including my own inexperience with business and some questionable decisions. But it turns out I can’t keep enduring arthritis and its constant toll on my aging joints, which makes this decision sad but inevitable.

The last day we will accept orders for pick up will be Friday, May 23.

Lindsay and I are filled with gratitude for the kindness of our customers and your willingness to entrust your family celebrations with us. Fortunately Portland has many excellent bakeries and we know we leave you in good hands.
