Here are my new ! I whipped these up in three late-night sessions last week using some long-stashed 11.5oz raw denim from . I decided not to prewash and to instead soak them (while wearing!) to lock in the shape and prevent too much dye fall. I'm hoping to wear them a ton and develop some really nice, unique fade lines. I wanted these to be more relaxed than my usual pants, so I made a size 8 even though my hip measurement was size 6 (my waist is all over the place) and because I thought they might shrink a lot when I soaked. I still have room in them to be super comfy. I might make another pair with a slightly lowered rise. Actually I might make a dozen pairs with all sorts of variations. These are a tall-full length because I wanted that vintage cuffed look. I made no mods except to trim off about 1/4" from the top of the left front after sewing the fly (why does it always seem to grow during construction and end up taller than the right side? All the stitching?), and I did 4 buttons instead of 3 at the fly because I hate gaping. What do you think?! My husband said, "Those look better than those other high-rise things you wear!" Hahahahaha. (And I can actually bend in these as evidenced in the photos, so that's a win!) @ Portland, Oregon
