It was a pleasure to sit down with Devin to chat. We cover a lot in this episode, from how Devin first knew she wanted to make films, her path through film school and a chance move to Portland, to being chosen as one of the International Screenwriters Association’s top 25 screenwriters to watch in 2025, and about how Desert Island Studios is much more than a studio space, it is a collective of filmmakers and a champion of Oregon’s independent film industry, helping filmmakers create passionate projects and commercial work.
