When I was a kid and we was living day to day. I was being a kid and complaining about being poor, washing and wearing the same clothes just about every day and watching my single mother work herself to death. The old vet sitting on the porch next to me. Grabbed me by the shoulder. Slapped me and told me to shut up and asked me three questions.
Are you part of the problem?
Are you part of the solution?
Are you helping?
Are you hindering?
Are you the driver?
Are you the passenger?
And with a slap to the back of the head. He said your family is poor and one day from the street. You can sit here complaining about it or get the f**k off your ass and do something about it. I went down to the fish factory and got a job unloading fish the next day. My mom died poor, the old vet drank himself to death and me I struggled through school and have been working since I was 8 years old. Thank you for listening.
