Proofing of the laser cut plates went great! Here’s a glimpse of a detail of a print that will be 20 feet long when it’s all done! Phew! am I glad I’m not hand carving this beast!

Getting ready to print today with the amazing . We had the plates laser cut from ink drawings on paper. Such an exciting new technology. So cool when that tech seamlessly integrates with 600 year old tech. I’m working with btw. Who are a pleasure to collaborate with!

I’m learning wood engraving. The tools are fussy and the way you hold the gravers is different enough from holding chisels that I’m fighting my muscle memory, but I’m getting it a little. Printing them is really satisfying.
