We wanted to highlight Nature Coatings for creating a non-toxic replacement for petroleum-derived carbon black. NCI uses wood waste to create the black pigment to help reduce their overall carbon footprint. Companies that are reducing their environmental impact are worth investing in now. We believe that we should be investing in our future and uplifting companies that value climate change.

The Yakama Nation is located in Washington and is currently fighting a renewable energy development that could permanently destroy tribal cultural property. We think it is important to highlight the environmental impacts of green energy on indigenous communities. Renewable energy should have a positive impact on the environment and all communities. As climate technology advances in the Pacific Northwest we think it is important to advocate for underserved communities to be included in the progress.
