"Why would you make coffee for people?" "Are you sure you want to do this?" "Do people care about Eritrea?" "What makes this worth it all?"
These are some of the many questions we were asked when working on Alena Doe and we feel these questions can be answered simply by telling you why we started.
Alena Doe to the World! 🌍☕❤️

Hey Everyone! Here are some introductions for the dynamic duo behind Alena Doe :)

Unfortunately Eritreans are too familiar with the negative effects that force displacement has on individuals, communities and generations. However this horrific conflict will have devastating effects on the surviving communities, beyond what we know or ever seen. As part of standing in solidarity Alena Doe didn’t make any posts this week following the call to action from and . We did not want to continuing to contribute to washing out important posts asking for liberation and at minimum a cease fire or posts that continue to educate on the issue. We pray that this ends, and the people who contributed money, and power to make this possible be held accountable and those impacted will find peace. When one has freedom the next thing to do is fight for someone else’s!
