🖼️ ZS frame shop (and printing) has seamlessly be in operation since the big move June 1st. FYI - we will be on vacation for the remainder of July. Reach out through email or the website to get in the line up for work needed late summer or fall. We will be managing communications (email preferred for the next two weeks) and we cannot take in ‘last minute’ requests until we are back in the shop. Thanks for understanding. SNEAK PEAK - New promo materials in the works!

Keith and I just got back from the Monson Arts opening weekend for Michael Rothschild’s (not on instagram) retrospective “Graven Images” up through October 13th! We had the fun and privilege of meeting Michael, Wendy and Chee at his home and studio in Philips Maine, drinking milk from the family cows, and exploring a well loved home and farmhouse high on a hill. Michael was born and raised in Maine in Bangor, a peer and friend of who was also at the opening and reading. Michael is known for his writing. His storytelling and energy is quite charismatic… If you need a little hiking and camp get away- we surely did! Monson is a lovely escape!

Start writing…So a long time ago in a far off island, I took photos and hung art for a gallery run by fabulous Queen Kind. After learning many good and not so good things of this little art village on the island, I tired of some repetition and how quickly this Village’s roads wore the bottom of my shoes out.
I left the island behind, promising myself never to be involved with a gallery again.
Soon after traveling north, I met my partner and I forgot my promise to myself, so by the same time our first child was born the idea of starting an art “station” was born. My family grew and the station grew too. Moving to a bigger room, to have a stage for the many ideas of what moves people to wonder and question the truth / beauty idea.
On that stage people’s ideas took many forms. As time passed we soon realized many of the people visiting came with the gift of conversation and personal experience is an infinite source of amazement.
We are grateful to all the artists who let us share their ideas with curious visitors and appreciated our attempts at targeting without aiming. In the way our powerful telescopes collect the smallest amount of light coming from far away in space and time, it would be fantastic if we could record words
of our past conversations echoing off our walls, floors and ceilings!

Hey friends! Just an FYI! That although we are moving out of our current (2nd ) location in East Bayside and saying goodbye to the gallery space we’ve carved out of an old taxi garage 24 years ago!!! The good news is that you will still be able to reach us with the same email addresses and same phone number. We will be continuing to make quality custom wood frames with hopefully little disruption! It will be by appointment (meaning just call us to give us the heads up)… with pretty much the same schedule! We’ll be sending out an email soon! Sign up on the form on our website! Still at 222 Anderson for about 3 more weeks!
