Elowah Falls on this day in 2012 and 2009. Also included is a photo of the fall colors on the hillside directly east of the falls. Unfortunately the Elowah Falls trail is currently closed due to a rockslide earlier this year which buried both the trail and the footbridge.

Metlako Falls along Eagle Creek in the Columbia River Gorge, taken on this day in 2009. Sadly this viewpoint no longer exists due to a landslide in December 2016, but you can still catch glimpses of it from the Eagle Creek Trail.

Sweet Creek is a few miles inland from Florence, Oregon. It is an easy hike with a big bang for the buck, especially during spring (for the pink fawn lilies) and autumn (for scenes such as this one). This was taken on this day in 2009.

From green to yellow to red — Milwaukie, OR (23-October-2021)

"The one red leaf, the last of its clan,
That dances as often as dance it can,
Hanging so light, and hanging so high,
On the topmost twig that looks up at the sky."
― Samuel Taylor Coleridge

McDowell Creek County Park is a little gem between Lebanon and Sweet Home, Oregon. It is like a miniature version of Silver Falls State Park, with four waterfalls and plenty of fall color. This is Crystal Falls on this day in 2006.

Fall color along the Fall Creek Trail from mid-October 2006 and 2007. Unfortunately the trail is currently closed due to the Middle Fork Complex wildfires, which may impact how this looks in the future.
