🐇✨Hare Salon Day!✨🐇
So many bunnies!!! It was our busiest Hare Salon to date with TWENTY FOUR super cute bunnies getting their nails done and their fur brushed out.
To get a tad personal, I, Leslie, was having one of my very rough days. Having worked in veterinary clinics, cat shelters, and partaking in rabbit rescue for many years, you see a really ugly side of humanity. TWENTY TWO of those rabbits today were kiddos I either groomed at the rescue weekly over the years, medically fostered, pet sat for former fosters, etc., and it was so lovely to see them all ✨THRIVING✨ in their furever homes. It just brings all the warm fuzzy feelings to my cold, jaded heart and is such a lovely reminder of why I continue to do this despite the worsening physical, mental, and emotional ailments. It's always lovely to see bunnies I know at the Hare Salons but SO MANY of them showed up today and it was overwhelming in the best possible way. ❤️
So, thank you to everyone who stopped by today! The funds help us continue to rescue and provide medical care for the bunnies so they can end up spoiled and pampered in their furever homes with people like all of you.
Also, thank you to the volunteers for making the Hare Salons happen! We were so thorough yet efficient and ended with two minutes to spare! Everyone rocked it!

*I gotta note for extra context cuteness, the second photo is Chi (formerly known as Calypso) and Hermes.. they are siblings who were adopted out to two lovely homes in separate pairs, so, they haven't seen each other in months. They were reunited today and it put the Hare Salon to a temporary stop because they were so adorable! 😍

🐇✨SUPER CUTE ADOPTION STORY✨🐇
So, Dr. Deena, over at Narra Veterinary Clinic is one of our valued, trusted veterinarians we work with on the regular. She (and her stellar staff) have done a lot for us from getting us in same-day for emergencies, offering discounted vaccination clinics for our rescued kiddos, and letting us use her lobby for our monthly Hare Salons (did you hear we have one of those this Sunday? 👀), just to name a few. We were over the moon when she put in an application to find a furever companion (and clinic mascot) for her and her aspiring-veterinarian daughter. They adopted Sven, now named Eevee, a couple of weeks ago and are absolutely smitten. 🫶🐇❤️

✨It's Hare Salon Time!✨
Please join us for our Hare Salon fundraiser this Sunday, September 20th, at Narra Veterinary Clinic in Tigard. Our volunteers are happy to offer you and your buns a safe and stress-free salon experience for pawdicures (nail trims) and hare-styling (grooming). The complete nose-to-toes service is $20, or $35 for a bonded pair, and our experienced groomers can help with poopy-butt or excessive matting for an additional charge starting at $15. All proceeds go directly to our Rose City Rabbit Rescue veterinary fund so we can continue to provide the best care for our rescued rabbits. We accept Venmo and PayPal, and love ca$h. There's no reservation needed, but PLEASE MESSAGE US to let us know you're planning to attend so we can coordinate to avoid bottlenecks and long lines.

We have FRESH, beautiful Central Oregon Timothy hay in the barn, and FRESH leafy green oat hay (with a touch of clover!) in the shed. We'll have bags of timothy and oat hay available for pick-up on Sunday. The cost is $20 for each 10-lb bag and the proceeds go right back to supporting the bunnies. Again, PLEASE MESSAGE US if you want hay, so Dave can bag up enough for everybunny.

Thank you, Cindy, over at Dappled Light | Cindy Lindsley for joining us yet again and instructing said class! I'm not sure if much Yoga got done today with how active and adorable all of the rabbits were, but zen vibes were provided none-the-less! 🫶 As per usual, I have a warren of video clips to sift through and compile together, but an adorable video is coming soon!
Lastly, thank you to our volunteers for ensuring everybody and every bunny was safe and having a good time! We couldn't do this without you! ❤️
