I have not been updating this regularly while dealing with my Dad's health and memorial service...and the busyness of my other work at church and in the Disability Field.

BUT:

These next several days will have extreme heat in the Portland Metro Area.

If you would like to donate towards buying more water that I can pass out to the houseless...please message me!

I currently have 5 cases of 36-48 bottles. 2 are frozen. 3 cold.

I would like to pass more out each of the next 5 days.

I usually just load up my car and then drive around to different encampments that I know if in the Hawthorne and Multnomah County/Washington County areas.

Last year I was able to pass out approximately 15 cases of water and several bags of ice.

You heard it right, temperatures are going to rise this Thursday & Friday. The most likely scenario is that temperatures will be around 95-100° in the Willamette Valley, with the highest temperatures experienced on Friday (what this image shows). The coast and Cascades will be cooler, but will still be warm.

These temperatures are fairly consistent with a 'normal' heatwave for this area this time of year, but don't let that fool you. There is still a risk to sensitive populations, children & pets. Please refer to your local emergency managers for resources available to you.

Hey everyone!

It’s been pretty silent on here while I’ve been traveling back and forth helping my parents out as my dad prepares for chemo.

BUT…

I have been doing some things behind the scenes!

Yesterday, I was able to pass out 26 bottles of water around the Hawthorne area.

Today, I was able to pass out 40 more thanks to support from PDX Saints Love in the Streets!!!

I met some great people (B, T & M; and then BS) and will hopefully continue to grow these connections and see how we can bring Christ’s love right to them!

We are still in the process of finalizing our website, partnerships, and some other administrative duties...but will start adding more details as they become available!

This has been an incredible journey so far (since 2006-ish via 1998/9), and we are excited to see how God works through this ministry from here on out!
