Inspired by the perfumers of Paris and the fine chocolatiers of Provence, teamaker Steve Smith has once again picked up his tasting spoon — a big-bellied, sterling silver antique found in a stall in Tinsukia, India. Joined by trusted cohorts from his previous tea adventures, such as Tazo, he lovingly crafts each small batch of Smith in his Teaworks atelier.

This Thursday! Come cool down with our iced beverages and swap some hot summer reads at our NW Portland tasting room. Bring a fiction book you’ve loved (or a few!) and exchange it for a new-to-you read from a fellow tea drinker. Enjoy a 25% off all retail and take a moment to unwind in our tasting room with a cup in hand.
Any books left behind will be donated to Street Books, a Portland-based nonprofit delivering books to folks living outside.

We are pleased to introduce No 91, Kumaon White Tea. This is the first tea produced by the newly founded Kumaon Tea Factory – a farmer-owned production facility on the historic Chirrapani Tea Estate in Kumaon, India. Over 90% of the farmer-owners are women, many of whom are now earning their first source of independent income. Brimming with notes of limestone, sandalwood, and candied lemon peel, this brand new tea offering reflects the rugged beauty of the Himalayan foothills and entrepreneurial spirit in which it was produced.
