A professionally trained European Master Pastry Chef (Konditormeisterin) who loves to teach her craft It is one of the best decisions I ever made.

Hi, I am Alexandra Wiedholz

From an early age, I loved to bake and share treats with family and friends. My first vivid recollection is baking spritz cookies with my grandmother at eight years old. I surprised many teachers, and my grandmother, when I announced that I would try to become a pastry chef instead of pursuing a university degree. 🍂Learn to Make Authentic Apple Strudel this Thursday!🍂

Are you ready to dive into a delicious fall baking adventure? On Thursday, October 10th, I’m hosting a special virtual class at 10 am PDT where you’ll learn how to make an authentic Viennese apple strudel from scratch! Even if you’re new to my classes or baking, this is the perfect opportunity to join a fun, interactive session guided by a professional passionate pastry chef!

What’s a Virtual Bake Along?
In this live, online class, we’ll bake together from the comfort of your own kitchen. I’ll be there with you every step of the way, providing expert guidance and answering your questions in real-time. You’ll have a front-row seat as I demonstrate each technique, ensuring you can replicate this Austrian classic with confidence.

Skills You’ll Learn:
*How to stretch paper-thin strudel dough for perfect crispy layers
*Preparing a delicious apple filling
*Techniques for rolling and shaping the strudel for an authentic look
*Tips for achieving a golden, flaky crust in your home oven
By the end of class, you'll have a warm, golden apple strudel that tastes like it was baked in a Viennese café. As we bake, you'll discover how this dessert transports you to the cozy alpine huts of Austria, all while enjoying the flavors of fall right at home.

If you are ready to join me, you can use the link below to enroll. If you are interested but busy or have questions for me beforehand, please reach out by email or message me so that we can chat. I am always happy to hear from fellow baking enthusiasts. This is the season to gather for some fun in the kitchen!

Looking forward to baking with you,
Alexandra

Biscoff/Speculoos or Poppy Seed Stollen Interactive Bake Along class over Zoom
December 10
9:30am -11:30 am PST
These Stollen add a ton of options to your holiday repertoire. Nut free, quick to make, and they do not need to age before they are at their best - perfect for some last minute holiday baking and spontaneous gift giving.

They are also made without candied fruits so they are perfect for people who like enriched holiday breads but are not a fan of pieces of fruit inside them. You can choose between a speculoos filling and a poppy seed one, but those are only starting points. I will teach you how to add your own spin to this traditional treat.

Want to join us for this class? Send me an email to find out more. We would love to have you! There is never any pressure to bake along, of course!
