If you're making an effort to use healthier/less toxic products, one easy way to do that is to swap your dish soap! I use this handy little guide on https://www.ewg.org/cleaners/search/. I was using Dawn Free & Clear. When I looked it up, I realized it had a D rating! I switched to Palmolive (A rated) Ultra Free & Clear and was happy to see that it costs half as much as Dawn. No quality complaints, either. 🥳

I had someone attempt to "break in" my home this last weekend through the front door at 4am. This incident made me think about security and safety a little more in depth, not just for me, but for customers that we service.

When we onboard new customers we ask that a lockbox is provided. Our reasoning for this benefits us, and it benefits the customer. Carrying keys is heavy, they need to be labeled, and there is no guarantee that MY keys will not get lost or stolen. If my keys got stolen, your house key would be stolen too.

Giving out your house keys makes you more vulnerable than providing a lockbox. With a lockbox your house key is always on your property. When the key is taken from the lockbox, it is put back in the lockbox, and the code to the lockbox can be changed whenever you want. Your key is not taken home with me, it is not taken to a store to be copied, it is not stolen from me by someone that is robbing my home. Its just nestled quietly in your lockbox, waiting to be used by whoever needs to enter your home. And you can always change the code to that lockbox!

Technology is full of vulnerabilities; door locking apps steal user data and entry into the home fully depends on the technology working properly. Remote entry is similar and also requires users to be available when the cleaner needs to enter. Lockboxes are simple and prevent ALL of that. Lockboxes are the way!
