Another day discovering Portland!

Drove across the Interstate Highway I5-S passing Hayden Island to see the St. John’s Bridge on a bright sunny morning! Then made a stop at Pittock Mansion to explore some portland history and, walked up to the Pittock Acres Park to finally get a view of the portland skyline.

Murals of Portland 🎭

Something that catches your eye when you drive down the streets of Portland are the artistic murals! What I love about murals is that express historical and cultural identity, create a sense of community and raise awareness about social issues. Here’s some picks from what I visited:

Spanning across the Willamette river, the Tilikum Crossing Bridge is one of a kind - dedicated to cyclists, pedestrians, buses and light rail transport without any automobile traffic!

LED lights are mounted across the entire bridge, changing color and pattern based on the temperature and flow of water which is quite an eye appealing view from any angle!

Quite an exquisite find and a recommended spot at night if you’re exploring Portland.

The Bellagio fountains is one among the top places to visit while planning a trip to Las Vegas!! My personal favorite at LV, the fountain show depicts multiple water based patterns which dance to the tunes of catchy music at regular intervals. A top recommendation spot which has numerous visitors, would be ideal to watch the show post the golden hour as the watar colors look electric against the lavender sky of the LV backdrop 😎
