We (Malaya Portland, a grassroots antifascist Filipino organization) are hosting an opportunity for Filipinos to gather around a delicious brunch and discuss what it means to be an antifascist Filipino in an increasingly repressive, fascist, crisis-ridden world! We got extremely alarming updates from Jose in detention - he was diagnosed with H Pylori bacteria, and if untreated could get cancer. he has lost so much weight is down to 140 lbs, and is suffering immensely. He wants his story on every news outlet. He said he is doing this for himself but also so many people they are harming.

His wife Aurora has been calling the consulate for months just to be met with empty promises. They even promised her $500 that she never got!⁩⁩

Chantal Anicoche, is a 24 year old Filipino American community leader from the U.S., who was present in Abra de Ilog at the time of the Armed Forces of Philippines (AFP) aerial bombing attack and had been missing from January 1 until she was surfaced on January 8. Chantal is still in the custody of the AFP, and we demand her immediate release!

Suggested donations are $1-3 a song, $5-7+ to be put at the front of the line, and $10+ to make a friend sing. All proceeds go to victims of typhoons Uwan, Tino, and all disasters in the Philippines! This fundraiser is part of the Bayanihan Disaster Response campaign in collaboration with NAFCON (National Alliance for Filipino Concerns), and CPDDR (Consortium for People's Development and Disaster Response).
