The Laurelhurst Theater became part of Portland's cultural and architectural history when it first opened in 1923. The original single screen could seat 650 people and was one of the first art deco style theaters of the period. Over the years the Laurelhurst has been added onto and now offers four auditoriums with modern amenities but still maintains its classic appeal. Thank you Portland!

Next Saturday, June 20th, is the Street Fair! SE 28th will be blocked off from Burnside to Glisan. The main stage is booked up with 9 hours of incredible performers, and there will be over 150 booths of local artists, artisans and food vendors. The will be debuting our very special ping pong table. Come hang!
Tonight! - ! is a satirical disaster comedy with an all-star cast of drag queens and camp icons. Drawing direct inspiration from the 1980 slapstick spoof Airplane!, this film takes the format and essentially puts it in drag - it’s bigger, louder, stupider and funnier - it’s what we all need.

It’s been a busy couple weeks and we are so grateful for folks coming out, supporting us and appreciating cinema.
20-year-old (!) writer/director Kane Parsons came from the world of working alone on YouTube videos, and was then launched into the process of making a feature film; Backrooms. Here he touches on how every day was something completely new for him to experience and through that, he greatly improved his communication skills and ability to collaborate.

Trainspotting asks its viewers to consider "junkies" as "human beings with all the complexity and mayhem of anyone living through their twenties." Director Danny Boyle continues on to explain meaning behind the title of the film. (His own words are too good to paraphrase here)
