Horsewreck
Emo / Punk Band from Portland, OR
Another studio day down and even closer to finishing this damn album. Zach and I finished tracking some guitar today and Sam came by to lend some of his sultry backing vocals. Starting to feel like this thing might actually be real soon, and yeah… it’s looking like it’ll be a double LP

“The energy discharge is so incredible that it stays engraved in your mind after listening to it, you should definitely listen to this song” - Zona Emergente

“Everything about “Right Mind” is meant to hit hard and keep moving.
This is the kind of song that is meant to stir something in you. “Right Mind” doesn’t sit quietly in the background. It pushes forward, amplifying emotion and channeling it into something louder, angrier, and ready to fight back. It feels like protest music the way protest music is supposed to feel”

Woke up today to another nice review, this one by Return Of Rock: “Sonically explosive and built around towering guitars, pounding drums, and chant-ready hooks, the track plays like a triumphant rallying cry. But beneath its anthemic exterior lies biting political commentary.
‘Right Mind’ uses irony as a tool, taking aim at nationalism, authoritarian ideals, and anti-immigrant rhetoric. The result is a piece of cathartic, confrontational emo that balances massive, crowd-ready energy with pointed social critique. It’s both satirical and sincere, exposing the dangers of blind loyalty while offering release through sheer sonic force”

Another very kind review from Expansión Radial: “Right
Mind” launches a frontal message against blind nationalism and authoritarian rhetoric. In this song, irony is the main weapon. The song builds a narrator who embodies the most radicalized discourse to exhibit his absurdity. Instead of softening the message, they exaggerate it until it hurts, forcing the listener to confront the contradiction. The closing - “It’s time for us to all die out” - sounds desperate, almost apocalyptic, and leaves a feeling of bitter catharsis. The role is energetic and forceful. Vibrant guitars hold a powerful sound wall, while the rhythmic bass pushes with constant intensity. Vocally, it stands out for its bright tones and a power that transmits urgency. That combination of melodic hook with controlled aggressiveness makes the song keep you hooked from start to finish”
Peep link in bio. Out now
I met with Zach today for the first solid read through of my brand new tune “July 23rd” which we’ll be tracking in two days. As I put countless studio hours behind me, this massive undertaking of an album is finally nearing its completion.

It’s time to unveil “The Horsecaster”©. Biggest of homies built me my very own tele from repurposed beetle-kill pine with a walnut top. What a beautiful piece of work this is. You’re all gonna be seeing this guitar a lot more as I’ll be using it to record all of my guitar work from here on out. Be sure to follow Jake and hit him up if you want a custom guitar body. He’s making some really crazy cool stuff and I’m beyond proud of my very talented friend.
Bass solo snippet from the other night with on his tune “Nashville” too much treble I know.. I was using the backline and didn’t wanna mess with their settings 🤠
She makes it impossible to record anything but I love her. Just look at those crazy eyes
