The Portland Firefighters Children's Burn Foundation Have Been Housing the Families of Those Who Are Admitted To Maine Med Since the Fire and Explosion at the Robbins Mill in Searsmont on May 15th. The Proceeds From This Fundraiser Will Go To Them To Continue To Provide For The Families and Anyone Else In the Future Who May Need Assistance.

Crews are currently operating at an All Hands Fire at 134 Hicks Street in the Riverton neighborhood of City of Portland, Maine. Please use caution and avoid the area, if possible.

The department and the Training Division are proud to invite family, friends, and the public to the graduation ceremony of Fire Academy Class 2026-40.

To celebrate the dedication and achievements of the cadets and instructors, graduation will take place on Friday, June 26th at 3 PM at Portland High School in City of Portland, Maine.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Assistant Chief Wayne Woodbury of the Searsmont Fire Department, who died this morning from injuries suffered at the lumber mill explosion back on May 15th.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the Woodbury family and our brothers and sisters of the Searsmont Fire Department.

We thank Chief Woodbury for his supreme sacrifice, for which he will always be remembered, and in the dedication and courage of all firefighters past and present, his spirit lives on.
