I remember driving down to Columbus and being excited to meet her solely on the conversations we had over text. I came home that day so energized because she was a genuinely great person to spend the day with.

This was my first time working with gels with the help of .lozada

energy just made this whole shoot so much fun. It was one of those days that I was a little down on my ability. This past year I’ve been trying to get out of my element and shoot with studio lights even though it was a hurdle for me. Always thankful for the mentorship and push to do something I’m uncomfortable with from Daniel. Getcha self somebody to challenge you.

Emily has the most contagious energy. We did a branding shoot for her and then decided to have some fun. This was a trial run of an idea that of course came out of the brain of .lozada She had to do a lot of skaters for these but look how fast she is!

The idea that ballerinas are these dainty creatures is such an enigma when you think about how strong their bodies are. They’ve been some of my favorite subjects to shoot because of their tenacity.

Every time I take time off from shooting and I get back into it, I feel like a dumdum for ever taking time off. Turns out I was more excited about these than Swedish furniture. @ Columbus, Ohio

Vintage Ralph Lauren vibes from this one. It’s always amazing to me when models show up to a shoot with a bag full of clothes like Mary freaking Poppins and there’s always something incredible that comes together.

This last month or so I’ve experienced what can only be described as a creative “dry spell.”
Creative people all have their ebbs and flows. Although it’s not an uncommon feeling, it doesn’t stop it from being difficult each time I have a bit of a downturn.

Different people handle it....well, differently. It’s like 5 stages of grief but instead 5 stages of creative critique. You compare. You aspire. You fail. You come to terms. You try again.

I can say one thing for sure is I’m grateful for the people that are constantly pushing me to create. The people that are willing to support me along the way to being better. I appreciate all of you more than you know 🤍

I’m allowing myself to be a work in progress because the alternative just won’t do.
