Electric delivery van concept sketch from 2022. A simple friendly face on the front of what is otherwise a simple panel construction with some molded wheel arches. I branded it with an Upper Left Roasters livery thinking it could be delivering beans around Portland ☺️☕️🚐

Mint mobile smartphone concept. 2021. The soft touch matte frame acts as a grippy bumper around this entire concept. It has a chamfer that asymmetrically tapers from top to bottom. While the glossy mint back plate meets a tinted glass part at a slightly off angle creating an eye catching and memorable graphic so you can easily tell from a distance that it’s not just another iPhone.

Ramp tile for Kirei Design Materials . Sometimes a design solution becomes so obvious that it’s a surprise it’s not already in the line. I designed this acoustic tile with faceted surfaces and a hollow core for maximum acoustic performance while also just looking like an interesting wall detail when it’s fully installed. The result is a product that helps spaces to be quieter while also being a quiet part of the room itself. The recycled PET construction helps it to be just as quiet for the planet.

Sketching an eyewear hinge idea while caffeinating at Yours Truly this morning. I love this simple idea of having rather traditional frames but with a unique form resolution where the temple meets the frame. It would need some tight tolerances for that to always line up nicely but I think it would be a nice touch. Eyewear is one of those categories of products where just a few millimeters can make the difference between an amazing design and something completely unwearable.

What brand would you say this is for? Let me know in the comments…. Morning warm up sketch. A small, short bed, short cab, electric pickup. Nothing beats a morning coffee and some free sketching in my notebook to get the wheels turning before jumping into a bunch of client concepts.

Details. The heel of the Atomic Court for Pines Footwear … I love a good crisp heel on the tooling of a shoe. For some reason this has always been a signature for me. A little form shift, a little texture change, a little light play and we are ready to go.
