One of my favorite places in the PNW.

I almost didn't post this photo simply because it didn't turn out nearly as well as I wanted. I've toyed with astro on and off for a couple years now but couldn't quite get the photos I wanted simply due to lack of experience and inadequate gear.
So why am I posting it you ask? for a couple reasons. The night I took this photo is one of my favorite memories. Watching the Milky Way summit Mt.Rainier, sitting in the grass watching the night sky thinking about how blessed I am to be able to experience natures raw uncut™ beauty is something I will not soon forget.
So what its not tack sharp, with perfect colors and tones, but it resembles a moment a beautiful moment, one that I want to share none the less.
Plus, over the last year or so I've broadened my selection of gear and equipment and have since taken a few absolutely stunning astro shots that I can't wait to share with you guys and this photo serves as a landmark for how far I've come in just the last year alone.

Side note: I later found out that at the time this photo was taken I was standing just a few feet from a fantastic photographer who, by the way did an amazing job capturing this scene. He has it posted on his page you should go check it out!

Traditionally I've primarily posted nature, landscapes, and wildlife but I feel like that doesn't fully encapsulate the range of subjects I take interest in. I've decided to start posting some of my other content as well so you may start seeing more photos like this and others, like abstracts, textures, macros etc. Let me know what you think in the comments!

This sunset was phenomenal 😩 just wait till you see the rest of the shots from that afternoon!
I've never been a huge fan of the amount of wild fires we have in the PNW. The damage they do to the landscapes and the homes of the people in it is terrible and often started by the stupidest irresponsible s**t.
However I've always loved the way it displays the light and adds depth to the landscapes. Completely altering perspective in spots I've seen many times before. there's a beauty to it all that I can't quite put into words.

Welcome back everyone!
As a lot of you may know my work takes up a substantial part of my time during the springs and early summer months. Between full time travel, long work days, and managing a small business I don't have much time to keep up with this page. But I'm back now and have had a summer full of great weekends, beautiful mountains and plenty of great photograph worthy experiences that I'm excited to share with you!
