PDX Couch Tour

Music IS essential!

PDX Couch Tour began as a response to COVID-19 limiting social gatherings and prompting venues to cancel all upcoming events. We set out to create a safe space for musicians to play in a live-studio environment for an audience in quarantine. Safety has been our primary concern, and we follow a strict policy created by our on-staff Disease Transmission and Infection Control Specialist.

This was an idea 20+ years in the making. As it turns out, it was perfectly suited for the current situation we now endure. Our live music-streaming studio incorporates elements of a TV studio, a recording studio, and a concert venue. Combined with social media and modern technology, what you get is an entirely new live music performance experience.

We began with zero capital, operating out of the old empty Joinery building using all our own equipment. Voluntary viewer contributions have been our only revenue stream with the proceeds being split amongst everyone involved and operating expenses. Needless to say, nobody is getting rich. In fact, we are barely getting paid. But, we do it because we love it, and believe in what we’re doing.

Recreating the energy feedback loop that makes live music so special has been a primary focus. We are constantly experimenting with new ways for musicians and audiences to connect with each other, virtually, and in real-time. We’ve built something pretty cool, and extremely valuable for both musicians and fans alike.
