Sub Syrup Collective

Just a reminder, this Friday is the LAST PARTY EVER at the Sub Syrup HQ 😭 Though the ride has been way too brief, it's been absolutely amazing. We didn't know what it would be like throwing parties in a new city in the midst of an ongoing pandemic, but you all showed up so freakin hard! We've got such a lovely bass community here in Portland, and its been amazing to play our own little part in it. We are sad to see this space come to end so soon after it started, but we're hopeful that we can find some awesome new spots in the future! Again, please let us know if you've got a line on any cool unconventional party spaces.

Until then ... lets go out with a bang! Or perhaps a boom 🤔🔊

It's been so wonderful to be in a venue with room for an aerial rig! We are stoked and honored to again have lyra performances from the epically talented Kash Bandicute and Eleanor Courtney (aka Sinderella). If you've been at the last couple Sublimate shows you've seen them both rocking it. Either way, you're in for a treat! We're hype to have them back to close out this awesome little chapter of parties at the Sub Syrup HQ 😺

Yup that's right, we're going all out for this last party at the HQ and serving you delicious hot noodle soup! We'll be converting the secret space next door (aka Mr Jennings former apartment 😹) into a mini noodle bar and lounge. These are White Dragon Noodle Bar noodles, a time-honored recipe of sh*take shoyu broth, noodles, and whatever toppings make your heart happy. GF options available for the broth and noods. Always delicious, and always a gift!

We are thrilled to have Elevated Mind coming up from the Bay to throw down the bounciest of bleeps, bloops, and wubs!

Elevated Mind is the musical project of San Francisco native DJ/Producer Will Bauer. Back in 2014, Will created the concept of Elevated Mind through an out-of-body creative flow, where musical ideas, movements, and decisions seem to be guided outside of control. Listening to the seamless mix of psychedelic melodies and intricately crafted basslines, you can expect to feel the same lack of control when on the dance floor.

His first CD, Dr. Dre “2001”, left such a large impact on his psyche that you can hear heavy hip-hop influences vibrating through his productions and DJ sets. Mix in an obsession with mind-bending sound design and larger-than-life bass, and you’ve got a recipe to elevate your mind.

Portland based electronic music producer, Pacific Patterns, has returned from a long hiatus. PP, strikes a balance of hard hitting bass and melodic elements, driven by psychedelic atmospheres and textures. He originally made a name for himself by pushing unique sounds up and down the west coast and releases with innovative labels such as phuture collective, Jadu Dala and more.

Oh hey y'all, we got some excellent non music thangs happening too! We're stoked to have the incredibly multi-talented Ian Bennett (aka Anode Design) back live painting for his 3rd Sub Syrup. Lately he's been milling wood from his land out in the Oregon mountains and turning them into some pretty exquisite paintings. Check out some of his recent work at Anode Design, including custom woodwork and installs! Good stuff 😺

ChellyBean is a selector/party maker based out of Portland, Oregon USA. Having grown up her whole life with music as a guiding light, and with raver girl roots in breakbeats, house, and OG dubstep, her selections can go into many different realms. She plays many genres. She is always attracted to heavy or interesting basslines, weird noises, earthy organic tones, funky disco sounds, ambient morning vibes, a good broken beat, with a dash of "gangsta" thrown in here and there. She is all about creating a vibe.

Her taste is ever evolving, and she is keen on keeping things fresh and current. With influence from many different genres and life experiences, this girl is not one to be put in a box.

ChellyBean is on a mission to bring people together all for the love of music, fun, and b***y shakin'. "Let me take you on a trip... to a place where the bass kids and the house kids are all friends"

Y’all we are just under 2 weeks from the final party at the HQ 😱 We’re pretty freakin hype on this sendoff, and wanted to share some more about all our artists. First up … Devin Kroes!!!


Devin Kroes is a Portland, Oregon based music producer and multi instrumentalist who specializes in combining cutting edge sound design with lush soundscapes and emotionally driven instrumentals.

Preferring to not be locked into any one style, Devin combines elements of dubstep, downtempo, halftime, and psybass with flairs of flamenco, jazz and soul to create a sound that is heavy, deep and harmonious.

Y’alllllll, Sub Syrup 2.0 was amazing!!! For real though, that was such a magical night. The vibes were thicc, the bass was especially thicc, and the dancefloor was poppin!
