I've been writing again after a long (too long!) break.

I just found out that Beverly Clearly, beloved Portland children's author, lived and grew up for a time right near where I grew up in northeast Portland.
She describes it as "on 77th Street, a block and a half north of Klickitat St.", just inside the city limits at the time. That was long ago, in 1923. And what about me? I grew up living at that intersection of 77th and Klickitat St. my entire childhood. Cool coincidence.
