The wait is finally over…..
When we first opened Your Side Chicks we sought to give the best fried chicken we possibly could and create something that would be sustainable into the future as our bodies are changing and auto immune diseases are increasing. Our chef / founder cares about people and wanted to be the change the industry needed.
We started with being gluten free using no bleached flours and that grew into our chef creating Better Milk and stopped using buttermilk a classic stable to his southern roots.
As time progressed we have worked extremely hard to continue and eliminate ingredients that we do not stand for or support like seed oils for frying.
A little more work and a lot of sourcing help we have finally eliminated the last 2 ingredients we needed to in order to be top 9 allergen safe “egg” and “soy”
To add to this none of our ingredients are bleached not even our sugar in our lemonade. Our sugar is and from pure beet sugar and cane sugar.
We also eliminated high fructose corn syrup from our menu as our chef doesn’t believe in it.
We are natural with everything we do. With ingredients you can pronounce and find in your home pantry.
Yes we have a few seasoning still with dairy in them but they are an option not a standard and soon those too will be developed into vegan friendly and top 9 allergen safe as well.
Today we can say that we are the healthiest fast food fried chicken in and we are extremely proud to be able to expand our reach and serve so many more people who face these allergies on a daily basis

Hey Portland
Our cart was vandalized last night and they cut and took all of our power cords and extension cords.
Unfortunately we will not be able to open until some time tomorrow Thursday 12/04 and will keep yall posted on the time if it will be later then our normal 11:30am opening.
Our south east cart is still open regular hours today 11:30am - 8pm at the Brooklyn Carreta food pod.
3 other carts also were affected at our Nob Hill location so our whole pod could definitely use some extra love.

We know times are hard they are for everyone right now.
But with everything going on and the government shutdown we need community now more then ever.
Starting today we will be giving 1 free kids combo to anyone who is being affected by snap benefits being taken away during this time.
This is for in person only and you must show your benefit card and speak to the employee at the window do not order off the kiosk.
